VINALENE

VINYL DENTURE BASE, FREE OF EXCESS MONOMER

VINALENE is a conventionally cured (laboratory press-pack technique) denture based material. If you have an empty cartridge you can inject your mixture. VINALENE is a vinyl based denture material, not acrylic, offering many advantages over the conventional acrylic denture base in use today. VINALENE offers a higher crushing strength than acrylic. A THINNER DENTURE or NIGHT GUARD can be made, ofcourse, this is based upon the assesment of each case. The patient now has the opportunity to wear a lighter denture that will give them that a more "natural light feeling". VINALENE is more dimensionally stable than acrylic and does not depend upon a moist environment for its stability. VINALENE chemically bonds to plastic teeth; therefore there is no concern about debonding. There is no need for mechanical retention. It further offers maximum bonding to porcelain teeth.

The finished VINALENE denture contains NO FREE MONOMER. Place it over a flame and it chars. Place a new acrylic denture over a flame and it ignites immediately. This is due to the free monomer remaining in the processed denture. This free monomer is the causative factor in the allergenic reactions exhibited by many patients to acrylic. VINALENE, either in pink or clear, is the material of choice for these patients and in general, is a superior material in all phases of prosthetic appliance construction. Vinalene is available in both pink and clear.

Moisture absorption by VINALENE is negligible, thereby eliminating denture odor, use one tablespoon of ordinary baking soda in a glass of warm water, leave it for 30 minutes, wash it off and place VINALENE in a denture cup. No overnight soaking is required or recommended. A moist environment is not necessary for this material to maintain its dimensional stability.
